I’ve attempted to convey the idea of a new way of looking at things based upon being exposed to an alternate reality.  In this case, a mantis alien has arrived from its triangle craft to a farm on earth to offer a ploughing, young lad an opportunity to play with a yo-yo instead.  And why not?!?
